Barbara Jenkinson - Director

 

Dr Barbara Jenkinson started Light & Life, along with Yvonne Hall, in Feb 2007. She has served in Christian leadership and ministry for over 20 years and has a strong passion to see people grow in intimacy with Jesus and be raised up to walk into their full destiny and calling.   

 

A passionate evangelist, worship leader and pioneer, she carries a strong prophetic and pastoral anointing. Prior to founding Light & Life she enjoyed a successful business career as a corporate strategist, and still occasionally teaches in Scottish universities.

Barbara sits on the UK’s Prophetic Round table (with Dr Sharon Stone), serves as a trustee of Glasgow Prophetic Centre and was formally on the Scottish board of Aglow International. She has served with Youth with a Mission and worked in missions in Africa, Romania and Portugal. She now lives in Ayrshire with her husband Colin and young family.

Emma Stark - Prophetic / Spiritual Readings

 

Emma is our lead trainer for activating and releasing people in the gift of prophecy. A gifted prophet and teacher, Emma is passionate about equipping and releasing people into their prophetic gifting. Emma (along with her husband David)  founded the Glasgow Prophetic Centre and Scottish UK Prophetic Roundtable. She also sits on the UK Prophetic Roundtable and lives in Glasgow with her family.

Gail Montgomery - Massage

 

Gail is our lead trainer for massage. She teaches simple massage techniques and shows people how to combine them with prayer and prophecy. Gail also helps to lead Healing Rooms in Troon, is involved with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and previously spent several years as a missionary with Mercy Ships (in Africa) where she, along with her husband Michael, directed a number of Discipleship Training Schools. They live in Ayrshire with their two amazing children, Emily-Joy and Joshua.

Allan McKinlay - Worship Coordinator

 

Allan is our worship coordinator and has responsibility for overseeing  / appointing musicians for each of our events. A gifted singer / songwriter he has an amazing gift for leading worship (listen to some of his music here) and has featured on major Festival bills (Nth Fest, CLAN), supported acts such as Bluetree, Yfriday and Superhero and released several albums of his own. Allan lives in Ayrshire with his wife Naomi and two beautiful children.

Colin Jenkinson - Technical Director

 

Colin Jenkinson is an amazing husband, father and man of God. He runs the technical side of Light & Life (website, mail management systems, computers etc.) and has a heart to see the Kingdom of God manifested through love, signs, wonders and miracles.

Becky Frank - Conferences, fundraising & Dumfries

 

Becky has recently taken on the role of Conference and Fundraising Manager and will take a lead role in managing those activities and in pioneering our L&L fair in Dumfries. Originally from America, Becky spent many years in Israel where she and Daniel were the Middle East Field Coordinators for MVI.  Becky and Daniel moved to Scotland in 2003, with their children Bethany and Lyle, and loved our country so much that she decided to take Scottish citizenship in Oct 2009. (Welcome to Scotland Becky!).

 

Becky has a real heart for seeing ordinary people raised up into their giftings and particularly loves helping out at our fairs and events. Prior to joining Light & Life Becky taught primary school and served as Scotland coordinator for HOPE.

Linette Penney - Prophetic Art

 

Linette is our lead trainer for prophetic art. A gifted artist and teacher, Linette has a passion for seeing others released into their creative gifting and delights in encouraging people to be creative with their creator. A busy mum  with three beautiful children, Linette also runs her own art studio (Penney Lane), on-line art gallery (Judah’s Roar), and is an accomplished worship leader and song writer.

Heather Sutherland - Dreams

 

Heather is currently working towards becoming a Master Certified Dream Interpreter and is one of the instructors for John Paul Jackson's training centre in Scotland "North Atlantic Dreams". She has interpreted dreams in university unions, conferences and festivals. Heather is married to Iain, a Church of Scotland minister and has two children. They recently moved to Dunfermline after serving in parishes in Caithness and Aberdeenshire.

Lynn Howson - Youth Coordinator

 

Lynn came to the UK when she was 9, from the USA. She and her husband, Maurice, have been involved in Christian mission work most of their married life, including being in YWAM for 20 years. She is passionate about seeing young people live radically for Jesus and pioneered FireStarters in 1996. She has 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren, loves family life, music, horse riding and smiles.

Allana Parker - Communications Manager & Prophetic Personality Profiles

 

Allana is our communications manager and has responsibility for ensuring our events are adequately covered in the media. She networks with reporters, newspapers, magazines, and individuals within radio and television to ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity of hearing about our events and also about the things Jesus does at them. Allana also helps out at our massage stalls and is the lead trainer for Prophetic Personality Profiles.

 

Outreach Teams - UK

Light & Life - USA

 

Dan and Amy Chadney are our associate directors for the USA.  Having recently left their roles as coordinators for Light & Life in Glasgow (Scotland), Dan, Amy and their two boys, Zachariah and Elijah, hope to meet other like minded people and see Light & Life birthed within California and used to bring people into an experiential encounter with Jesus - both through organised outreach events and through small mobile teams taken onto the streets to demonstrate the Jesus of the Bible through love, signs and wonders.

 

Both have a strong prophetic gifting and previously served as leaders in their local church. Dan, now in his homeland, is an accomplished singer song-writer with an incredible gift for leading worship. Check out his music here. When he’s not involved in leading worship, recording albums, renovating houses and spending time with family and friends he works in his day job as a graphic / web designer

 

Amy is an incredible artist with a huge heart for people. A strong visionary, she has the ability to inspire and motivate others to pursue their dreams and find intimacy with Jesus. She has a love for children and enjoys teaching them how to hear God clearly for themselves and others - she expects revival in the playground!

 

Their son, Zachariah, is also fully trained in prophetic art and regularly works alongside them sharing God’s love through prophecy and art.

Light & Life - South Africa

 

Gerhard and Melanie Weich are our associate directors for South Africa. Based in Cape Town, their heart is to see transformation of individuals, cities and nations by the presence and power of God. Both serve on the leadership of Youth With A Mission in Muizenberg, where they oversee ministries related to prayer, worship and the prophetic. They have pioneered the School of Intercessory Prayer in Africa with a heart to equip young people for full time ministry.

 

Gerhard is an incredible teacher with a powerful anointing for intercession and prophecy. Although trained as an architect, he has served in full time ministry for many years in various nations before returning to South Africa in 2004. When not working, he enjoys rock climbing and renovating the house.

Melanie, originally from Canada, is a passionate worship leader with a strong prophetic anointing and discernment. She has a heart to see individuals find freedom and healing in Jesus and walk in their God given destiny. When not working, she tries to relax while chasing after her twin boys.

Ben Monteith - Youth Worship Leader

 

Ben lives in Glasgow, is married to Laurie and has been gifted with three of the most amazing children ever (Joshua-4, Lily-2, Noah-1). He has had a passion for music for many years, having started out as a drummer, but now is also a singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He is a passionate son of the Living God, and excited to share the gospel. He has a passion for many things, but mostly longs to be a better man every day that he lives! As a family they are called to bring the power of God into desperate situations: healing and restoring lives (through worship, friendship, and love) and to see people healed (physically and spiritually), walking in the anointing and power they were created to walk in.

Rachael Howson - PA

 

Rachael will be serving Light & Life as a PA and will be helping out in all sorts of activities including organising / leading outreaches and with some of the background work required to support Light & Life.

She is a secondary school teacher and will be working for us part time. Rachael is enthusiastic about serving God through serving people and loves to worship. Having been brought up in a missionary family, she has regularly been involved in missions, both here and abroad and wants to help others be released into their gifting.
